I guess that for at least two weeks, this show has been on tv on AXN, in Chile. I didn´t feel like watching "Missing" because I think that Ashley Judd has done many films in similar types of movies, so when it was over, there were some previews of this next show, starting that actor who was in "Will and Grace". Don´t you hate it when you know the actor, that you´ve seen him before, but can´t remember his name? Well, this happened to me and I hated it, especially since I had enjoyed his previous series.
So, today, after a rather brief nap, I took out the newspaper and I saw the title "Perception", and I decided to read the review. After only a couple of lines I read Eric McCormack, and it was like I knew, but why on earth couldn´t I remember? The review was alright and since I was watching tv and it was the next program, I sat down and made myself watch one chapter.
I thought it was alright, a different twist for crime and science to mix together and well, then I had another problem because I think I´ve seen the leading lady before, but the name Rachel Leigh Cook rings a bell in my head and I don´t know where I´ve seen her.
I think that you have to get into the shoes of Dr. Pierce if you try to understand what´s going on, because at first, it seemed a little bit hard to piece in my mind his role in the series. And I finished and I believed it was an interesting show....but I have to disagree with the reporter when she said that it was kind of a series for the followers of "Dr. House"; but then the actors are different and House was quite a character, that it caught my attention early on the series but because of who he was, then I stopped watching regularly as it didn´t seem to change anything about it. It was a simple rule of knowing he was a Vicodin addict with a leg problem that was pretty lousy with the people working with him, that somehow managed to find the right diagnostic, played guitar and piano. I strongly believe that the best part of that show was the complicated friendship between House and Wilson, the oncology doctor.
If you try to see it through that point of view, you might find it a bit dissapointing because it isn´t like a hospital drama, but kind of a mix between Law and Order and CSI Miami. a nice kind of mix when you have the right people for each role.
