This morning I woke up to the sound of my sister telling something to my mom and I decided to get up and have some breakfast. I looked out the window and it was raining, so it was good to have a warm cup of coffee with bread and jam. I took a shower and put my clothes on and then I picked up my mom´s computer to continue working on my Nietzsche paper and all of a sudden, these tiny little snowflakes started falling from the sky.
The fog was white and before I knew it, the snow was getting heavier and it started to look like there were feathers dropping down from the sky...unbelievable and exciting because it has not snowed for a couple of years in the city. It has been falling non-stop for three hours by now, but only on the neighborhoods closer to the mountains, it´s only raining downtown. For those who know Santiago I can tell you that it´s snowing from Rotonda Peréz Sujovic right down to the Cordillera de Los Andes.
I tried to publish this earlier, but somehow it seems to me like it´s perfect right now. We are really in winter now (it´s starting to look like a White Christmas, but we are on summer at that time) so I wish I could be able to do a little bit of magic and capture the beauty of the snow falling everywhere, from one side to another so that I could take a look at it when it´s gone, which hopefully, won´t be for quite a while.
And it´s quite peaceful and quiet, except by the men working on the kitchen tiles, and it feels like a dream, something so beautiful that I wish we could have at least a snow like this one once in winter. Had to warm up again with a nice cup of tea and now I´m waiting for lunch so that I can continue with my paper feeling more inspired and giving thanks to this day....hard to put up in words all that I´m feeling right now.
I picture myself in a nice little cottage with a warm fireplace, something really great to drink and something sweet, typing away until the snow stops falling down from the sky. There would be a big window so that I could just grab my camera and take a couple of pictures.

And I´d love to be with you in that little cottage, seeping a hot chocolate and so inspired that my chocolate would needed to be reheated!! Although such a beautiful sight inspires more in me to go for a slide and enjoy nature at it best.!!
