I can´t believe I actually saw this movie twice. It was bad enough the first time, but since it was listed as one of the movies to watch in my master´s course, I rented it and decided if I could figure it out this time.
And I got a little bit more to understand, but I couldn´t help drowsing off somewhere around the half of the movie. I got so far that these were two bikers who bought drug to a mexican dealer, tried it and then sold it to a customer in what seemed like a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Then they start this road trip towards New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Actually I think that the only thing that made some sort of sense in the movie was the part where they were in the commune, at least I got the feeling that they had some sort of horizon, while the two riders had not.
Then there is that scene at town where they meet Jack Nicholson´s character... and that is where I lost control of everything. From that point on everything was a blur...got some sense of their participating in the Mardi Grass night and the psychodelic paraphernalia in the cemetery. And then for whatever reason they get shot. I mean, I don´t think I will ever see it again because it is so weird and not so easy to watch. Maybe it was the time or the way it was made, but I had enough of it. I will not try to see it again because I found that the dialogues weren´t very amusing and filming natural dawn got so bright as the movie itself so sometimes I didn´t even know where I was.

Hola Isa,
Cristobal.
